Earth globe with wooden frame

Description

The equator shows the calendar, zodiac, and cardinal directions. The map image is mostly the same as the 1613 globe, but notes have been added in some places. An inscription on the northern hemisphere refers to the Northwest Passage, the sea route connecting the Atlantic and Pacific oceans north of the American continent, which was intensively sought by sailors at the time.
