Objekt 12
Dr. Stückelberg and Mrs. Ochs
Description
The two groups follow a watercolor (1826) by Hieronymus Hess, who recorded an anecdote circulating in Basel: The Basel physician Stückelberger made a hypochondriac patient (supposedly a Mrs. Ochs), who asked him for a consultation in the middle of the Mittlere Brücke, stick out her tongue and close her eyes. Thus he left her standing and slipped away.
