Description
In the inscription below the silhouette of Cagliostro the ambivalent reputation of Cagliostro becomes clear. Thus, it states that Cagliostro is "An impostor to some, a prophet to others, and thus the enigma of our day." A characterization that still applies to the figure of the adventurous miracle worker today.
