Conlon Nancarrow, letter to György Ligeti, 30 June 1982
Description
"I've been very flattered for some time by what you said about my music. I knew you were a famous composer, of course, but I didn't know a single note of your music. Well, now I know it, and I am very impressed. I haven't been this impressed since Bartók and Stravinsky. By the way, have the string quartets been published yet? I'd like to have a look at the scores."
