Child portrait of four year old Dorothea Heusler (1736-1743)
Description
The eldest daughter of the councillor and art collector Samuel Heusler (1713-1770)
and his wife Dorothea Burckhardt (1711-1791) is portrayed here in a rural setting
has been portrayed. The four-year-old is holding a rose in her right hand, while with her
with her left hand a wreath of blossoms on the head of a sheep.
