Bound clavichord, Basel, 1790
Description
Johann Jacob Brosy was baptized on 25 June 1748. He made spinets, clavichords and later also table pianos. He also looked after instruments in private households in Basel and the organs in the city. Invoice documents in the Basel City State Archives testify that he also occasionally had to repair Schweickart's commode-shaped organ in Peter Ochs' house, which was on display in the large room.
