About the exhibition
Who would have thought that instruments could be made from hospital oxygen tanks? The South Tyrolean musician Max Castlunger has created drums, gongs and other extraordinary instruments that can now be seen and played at the Music Museum.
The instruments, made from oil barrels, tree trunks, PVC pipes, garden furniture and many other materials, offer space for personal discovery. Visitors can play them themselves and experience how the individual sounds are created, how playing influences the tone and how diverse the materials are. They can also learn more about the individual instruments on concert tours and make music together.
