150 years ago, the Historical Society, founded in 1836, and the Antiquarian Society, which branched off from it in 1842, merged to form the ‘Historical and Antiquarian Society of Basel’.
To mark its anniversary, HAG, in collaboration with Basel University Library (UB) and the Basel Historical Museum (HMB), is presenting the library display case in the Barfüsserkirche and, in parallel, the reading room display case in the UB until April 2026.
