Basel Historical Museum is in favor of open government data culture and supports the government's legislative goals. The accession registers are the basis and reference for the collection.
All acquisitions and disposals of the collection are recorded in the entrance books and systematically registered with inventory numbers. Since 1870, the inventory numbers have followed the same scheme: year of entry of the object and serial number. This basic principle is still in use today, systematically expanded for multi-part objects and for acquired collection holdings.
We support provenance research and, taking into account the legal personal data protection period of 80 years, disclose all accession registers. On this page you will find the PDF files to download or view directly.
