Description
This display case contains a large part of the porcelain collection of Prof. Dr. Hans-Rudolf Christen-Züst (1924-2011) from Winterthur. The chemist, who was very successful with his textbooks, taught at the ETH and was also an enthusiastic collector of early European porcelain. He had a particular passion for the early products of the Meissen porcelain manufactory. In 2006, he donated his important collection to the Basel Historical Museum.
