Room 200

VESTIBULE

The vestibule of the representative upper floor shows the strict forms of early classicism. This is where the master of the house received his guests. This vestibule also bears references to the Masonic symbolism. Thus, the noble limestone floor shows several times the motif of the circle in a rectangle, which is a symbol of the world illuminated by the sun.
The entrance to the main hall of this floor, the "Grand Salon", is particularly emphasized by the free-standing columns of Ionic order, the barrel vault, as well as the crowning by a triangular pediment.
