Two portrait medallions of a Basel couple
Description
The two medallions were formerly both inscribed "Aus dem Gütli" on the reverse and the lady's medallion was additionally inscribed "Burckhardt". Possibly the sitter is Peter Burckhardt-Forcart (1742-1817), Mayor of Basel and Landammann and his wife Anna Burckhardt-Forcart (1742-1808).
